Yesterday Drek and I went a snow hike. It was very peaceful. We saw lots of dear and somewhere around a thousand wild turkeys.
After the hike we decided to sit in an outdoor hot tub and eat ice cream. It really wasn't as cold as I thought it would be. That is until I had to get out of the hot tub and walk around barefoot and wet on snow.
Later we went out to dinner with Krateizling to Red Lobster. It was delicious. And very warm after being so cold.

Not-So-Quick Update
I went to San Diego. On the flight to Las Vegas I stared at the guy sitting in front of me, pretty much the whole time, trying to figure out if he was someone I knew. At the Las Vegas airport he came up to me. He was!! It turned out we were both going to San Diego so we sat next to each other and watched an edited version of "Little Miss Sunshine" on my laptop. It made the flight bearable anyway.
I stayed in California for three days. The first day I got to take the train up to Anaheim and a Taxi to Disney land.
I know it's blurry. This is a pidgon inside the Train Station. As in "Zim. There's a pidgon on your head. You have head pidgons. Leave before you infect the other children."

The kids were great. We were exhausted by the end of the day. Posh Spice cut in front of us in line. I only know it was her because the people behind us completely freaked out. Even after I told the kids who she was they didn't understand. They had never heard of the Spice Girls.
Day two was a Mardi Gras party were I had a very strange green drink. It was supposed to be "the Disneyland version because this is a family friendly party." It was still strange. I wrote my story for the ESSC that night. Maybe that will explain why it was so weird. The story, not the drink.
Day three we took a hike in the canyons. It was beautiful. Later that day was my flight home.
The next weekend Drek and I went drove to Las Vegas.
The drive was fantastic, so much better than flying. We stayed with my Aunt and Uncle. They were so wonderful to us. We visited the Casinos, watched the fountain show at the Belagio and visited the LDS temple. The temple was the only place we took pictures.
That night we went on the thrill rides on the Stratosphere. It was amazing. we had so much fun. Another life goal completed. On Sunday we went with my Aunt and Uncle to their Methodist church. That was amazing. The songs were wonderful and I even got to do Communion because the "wine" was just grape juice. We drove home that day. It was a wonderful trip.
I didn't watch the Oscars. It was a sad habit anyway. Time to give it up.
Krisling got me a job at her work. I'm so excited to start!! It means I'll have to quit my Nannying job, but that is a good thing.

A notorious site for suicide, the official suicide count ended in 1995 when the number approached 1,000. There were 34 confirmed bridge jump suicides in 2006. Currently, it is said that a person jumps off this site every 15 days.
As of 2006, only 26 people are known to have survived the jump. There is only one known person to have jumped from twice. She survived the first jump in early 1988, but died in her second attempt later that year.
And yes, I am making these harder.

Still Broken
My best friend growing up got married yesterday.
Weird.
Today was also the "welcome home centered sacrament meeting" of a friend of mine from high school. I was planning on going up until I was about to walk out the door. I suddenly realized that there was a slight possibility that BWM would be there too. The thought terrified me. I tried to tell myself that he probably wasn't even in Provo, or had no idea that our friend was even back from his mission, or that he's probably dropped all affiliation with the church, but it didn't work. I shut my front door and went back into my room. I just couldn't go.
On a happier note: I'm going to Disneyland!!

This fictional Character holds a terrible secret. She is a double agent working for MVD, and worked with Bond because she was under orders to see that he did not escape Le Chiffre. (Her kidnapping was staged in order to lure Bond into Le Chiffre's clutches.) Prior to her meeting Bond, she had been romantically involved with an RAF operative. This man had been captured by SMERSH, and revealed information about her under torture. Hence, SMERSH was using this operative to blackmail her into helping them. After the death of Le Chiffre, she is initially hopeful that she and Bond can start a new life, but realizes this is impossible when she notices a SMERSH operative, Gettler, tracking her and Bond's movements. Consumed with guilt and certain that SMERSH will find and kill both of them, she commits suicide, leaving a note admitting her treachery and pledging her love to Bond.
Fleming created a cocktail recipe in the novel that Bond names after Her. The "_______ martini" became very popular after the novel's publication, and gave rise to the famous "shaken, not stirred" catchphrase immortalized in the Bond films. The actual name for the drink (as well as its complete recipe) is uttered on screen for the first time in the 2006 adaptation of Casino Royale.
According to the novel, she was so named by her parents because she was born on a stormy evening.
her full name is a pun on West Berlin. Like her namesake, the city of Berlin, her loyalties are split down the middle.

Three months
Today I am officially old enough to serve an LDS mission.
I've never really had a deep desire to me a missionary and I'm pretty sure I would be horrible at it, but I have always wanted to serve a humanitarian mission. I've always wanted to go to Africa with UNICEF or something like that.
I got a second job. Now I work about ten hours a day. I took the job not for the money (although it is a good side benefit) but to keep myself busy. It's not working. Apparently I still have too much free time.
I keep thinking that I'm stuck here. Time is ticking away and I can't do anything about it. I'm useless and I can't change. I have to do something. Maybe I will go to Africa, maybe I will put in my papers for a procelyting mission. At least I'd be doing something. At least I'd be useful.

Random Facts
I now live my life in a perpetual state of hunger.
My awsomely-cool Guitar Hero game on my laptop has the song "Trogdor" by Strongbad. Macs could not get any cooler.
There are no Apartments for rent in Lehi.
The Academy Award Nominations are announced tomorrow.
This morning it was one degree. That is much too cold. Every time I go out in this weather, I get a headache, Thus, I wish I were in Tahiti.
I miss living with Krisling.

Awwwwww
Tuesday I got up to say good-bye to my grandparents (who had stayed with us over the holiday and were flying home that day) and to go to work. It has been horribly cold lately so I went out a few minutes earlier than I usually do to warm up my car. I remember seeing the frost covering the car and thinking that if I really wanted the defroster to make a difference I should have started the car twenty minutes ago. Anyway, I went back outside ten minutes later and while I was closing the garage I glanced over at my car. Amazing!! My windows were all clear!! How wonderful! It was then I released that Drek's car was parked on the street and he was sitting in his front seat, finishing up a letter to me. This was amazing because 1) He would have to wake up way early to do that 2) It was so cold I don't know how he braved the morning and 3) I was really a brat the day before. So you can imagine how stunned I was to find that not only had he cleaned off my windows, but he had made me "the Hot Chocolate of Friendship" and written me a letter. It was so wonderful.
And I admit it, I was two minutes late to work. It was so worth it.

Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam
I finally have a church calling. I am now the primary teacher of seven very active three-year-olds. This group of children has never been in Sunday school before, they have always been in the nursery. Today was their first ever sunbeam class. It was trying to keep all of their attention, especially when my co-teacher seems to think that their attentions spans are twenty minutes, not three. But it worked out and I have the lesson next week so I think things will go somewhat smoother. The best part was during sharing time the teacher stood up to give her testimony and (true to form) started crying. She said "When I came in to church and heard your little voices I got all weepy." To which one of my sunbeams said very loudly: "Me too!" It was wonderful.

I walked into the apple store to get my new battery and what were the employees playing on the demo computers but Guitar Hero!!
"On a mac?" I questioned. In response, the employee took my laptop and right then and there installed the game on it.

We're Back

The One Day I get to Sleep In. . .
My phone rang this morning at 8:30. I can't believe it took me that long to recognize his voice. It hasn't changed at all. He doesn't even have an Italian accent. We got to talk for a while.
It's right up there with the best ways to wake up ever.
I've been listening to Mannheim Steamroller's Christmas CD nonstop. Someone just barely gave me and I haven't turned it off since. It finally feels like Christmas. Thank you thank you thank for that CD!!

Let the Countdowns Begin
Christmas is almost here! Yesterday I got to open my first present. It was perfect!! exactly what I asked for (I asked for world peace and it was a piece of a map; world piece)!! Even better was part II. .4% and the start of my Egypt fund. Absolutely wonderful.
Today Little Girl and I spent most of the day making presents for her parents. They turned out quite nice if I do say so myself! Anyway, Little Girl and I are getting along wonderfully now. No problems at all. I love my job.

Don't pay any attention. It' just the depression talking
I can't fix anything, you know. Like someone once told me, I can't even save myself.
I missed Aneeka's Birthday. I told myself a million times not to forget it. Last night I realized it had been last week.
Last night I dreamed I was drinking blood and it made my throat sore. Now I have sore throat.
Yesterday I spent a lot of time in the rain. And then the rain turned to snow. I wasn't cold.
I knew him, you know. I had the privilege of spending a few days with him. He was really funny. A genuinly nice person. And now I can't so anything. I can't even admit that I'll be devastated when he dies, that I'm devastated now, because who cares about the ex-girlfriend, right? Anything I do will just make the situation a million times worse. I can't fix anything. I can't even fix myself.

Past Week
So, notable events of the past week. . .
Let's see.
Last Friday was the Quark Dance. It was amazing. Tim was nice enough to let me dance with him almost the whole time. He even taught me a basic tango!
Saturday was Drek's birthday. It involved much secretnes and much coldnes.
Sunday was Drek's birthday part II. That was more secretnes, the phone stealing kind of secretness, and a lot of fun.
Tuesday was Kris's last night as a single. We both got very tired and ate some goldfish. Poor Sarah. She called us, but neither of us were coherent enough to talk to her. Anyway, Kris and I watched Da Vinci Code. I loved it. Kris said it was tool time.
Wednesday was the wedding of Krateizling. It was a success.
Friday Drek and I got lost in a parking garage. Luckily, he has an amazing sence of direction and was able to get us not lost.
Today was Trans-Siberian Orchestra day!! Hooray!! it was amazing!! There was fire, and lasers, and strobe lights, and singing, and instrument playing. Such a day could only be ended with fudge.

I saw me life flash before me eyes.
Today I got to go shopping with my mother and my wonderfully pregnant sister. We came home by way of State Street. My mother was driving, my sister and not-yet-neice/nephew were in the front seat. Suddenly we relized that there was a car coming towards us very quickly in our lane.What I mean to say is that he was driving north in an south bound lane. He was coming straight for us and accelerating. My mother slammed on the brakes and he swerved into the suicide lane, back onto the correct side of the road, and kept going, speeding like a demon, only to crash into two cars.
Apparently, it was quite the ordeal.

Changing topics, on May 17 I posted that I was going to get a princess dress for the wedding of Krateizzling. Seven months later, and five days before the wedding, I finally got my princess dress. Actually, it's not so much a princess dress as a slinky dress. As in: "If I'm going to buy a dress I want one with a little more slink."
But I think it still qualifies as a princess dress.
Apparently, it was quite the ordeal.
